Vector Art

Just started a vector class in school and I am really digging it!

Just a quick character i pulled out of my sketchbook to "vectorize" during class.

finished my second assignment for my vector class.  I had a lot of fun doing these!  I think i'm really getting the hang of vector.

My first assignment, in the spirit of Halloween, was a monster portrait.  This, of course, is a pig guard from Jaba the Hutt's lair in Star Wars. enjoy

Caricatures: Oil and Watercolor
I just recently started trying my hand at caricatures, and I think they are a lot of fun.  I really enjoy looking at a person and taking the first thing I notice about them and exaggerating it.

Watercolor
Watercolor is the newest medium I've picked up and and i really enjoy it.  Watercolor involves a lot of planning as well as knowledge about how each pigment works.  I never knew that some pigments create different textures.  I tend to layer my paintings with very thin washes, building them up to a textured finished look.

Oil Still Lifes, Portraits, And Figurative Paintings
Besides Illustration, oil painting is a passion of mine.  I have taken techniques from a few different teachers of mine, and incorporated them into a technique of my own.  I tend to finish as i go, starting on one section and only moving to the next section after i feel i have the color and rendering finished in the first section.

My first oil still life painting ever.  This was only a few weeks after i learned how to use oil
